As the new face of The Observer, we as student journalists herby set these goals that we will uphold in our daily reporting:

•  Be the paramount guardians in maintaining the watchdog mission of The Observer 

• Ask the questions others are afraid to ask and dig deeper than others are willing to go for the truth 

• Be the catalyst that sparks dialogue about underrepresented issues in the campus community 

• Maintain the journalistic mission to "comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfotable"

• Through professionalism and diligence, improve the paper's respectability in the campus community 

• Impact the way policies and laws in the campus community are created
